When will season 9 of ‘The Blacklist’ be on Netflix?

Enhancing 200 episodes, The blacklist returned to NBC for its ninth season, with new episodes being released weekly starting October 21, 2021. The blacklist be available on Netflix.

James Spader continues to play Raymond Reddington, a former criminal turned FBI informant who has helped authorities catch numerous notable criminals over the years.

Netflix has carried the show in many regions (more on that below) since the show’s inception, reportedly paying up to $2 million per episode.

Season 9 began airing on October 21, 2021, but notably saw the departure of series creator Jon Bokenkamp this season.

Blacklist season 9 will consist of 22 episodes with the season finale airing on May 27th and don’t worry, the show’s future is assured with a 10th season in the works.

When season 9 of The blacklist will be on Netflix will depend entirely on where you live, so let’s dive into each of the three groups. Those who get weekly episodes, those who get the season all at once, and those who don’t.

Some Netflix regions are lucky enough to get weekly episodes of The blacklist.

Blacklist Netflix Season 9 Release Calendar

For almost all other regions you will have to wait to get season 9 of The blacklist.

For Netflix in the US and Canada, you’ll have to wait until season 9 is finished and a few months later. But we can give a pretty accurate estimate of when that will happen.

The entirety of Season 8 was added to Netflix US on October 6, 2021, with the full season coming out of the NBC app on October 22, 2021. All previous seasons prior to Season 8 arrived on Netflix CA and US in September.

That means we are currently waiting for season 9 of The blacklist will be on Netflix in September or October 2022.

Some other regions are still missing Season 8, including some European countries and Latin America. You should get Season 8 sometime in 2022, with Season 9 dropping in 2023.

Why The Blacklist isn’t on Netflix in the UK

Most of Netflix loads The blacklist with a few notable exceptions. The biggest exception is Netflix UK, which does not have access to the show because the rights (broadcasting and streaming) were sold to Sky.
