Today I’m going to talk about Sonic, the movie or what I like to call myself and its creators Sonic the Hedgehog (well, but they say it in English: Sonic the Hedgehog). The film is directed by Jeff Fowler and many people participate in the script part: Patrick Casey, Josh Miller and Oren Uziel signed the script, but the characters are by Yuji Naka,
What is the film about
Sonic, the famous blue hedgehog of SEGA video games, lives his first adventure on the big screen… and for a good time. The film includes live action and digitally created animation.
In this cinematographic adaptation based on the well-known videogame saga, we will see its protagonist Sonic, the hedgehog who has the ability to run at high speed and who will start to live adventures the moment he meets the human Tom Wachowski (James Marsden) with which he will join forces to try to stop the evil Dr. Robotnik’s plans (Jim Carrey), which tries to capture it to experiment with it.
In addition to the two actors mentioned, other faces also appear in the film, such as Neal McDonough, Tika Sumpter, Adam Pally and Leanne Lapp, among others. Sonic’s voice in its original version is that of Ben Schwartz, while in Spain the dubbing is by Ángel De Gracia.
Review of Sonic, the movie
Well, let’s see, the movie is not bad, at times you like it, you even laugh, although the story is very easy not to deceive us. Some of the main characters are not very similar, let’s convey zero charisma on screen. But the main problem with the film is another.
I have fond memories of my childhood playing the Sonic video game in the 90s, and that I will keep to myself when I see this movie…nothing, it didn’t tell me anything. Couldn’t remove my longing. So I don’t think the hedgehog fans really like it, nor do I think it’s a family movie, maybe good for families without kids. But not even that, on the contrary, is in no man’s land.
