The Peripheral is a television series that highlights how ambitious it is from the very first episode. Despite not having an original script, it is a story that fits perfectly into the television formatespecially when it comes to episodes airing weekly.

It is a very ambitious project because it aims to have the cinematic quality of a big screen project. It contains a series of elements that you can make the most of, such as the virtual world where the direction and the script can give free rein to your imagination, both in technical and dramatic aspects, or temporary games that give you the freedom to not follow the pre-established rules.

But is it getting the most out of it? The answer is a resounding yes. The technical team of The Peripheral you are able, with your limited budget, to explore minimal visual details that border on genius. The complexity of the future, dystopian world means work must be rigorous and careful. And, as a result, it means the creation of a universe delicately set for a spectator who ends up being grateful.

But not just the brightness of The Peripheral it stays on the more visual aspects, it is also written with conscience. The first chapters of the series may be slower and disconcerting for the viewer, but little by little the story takes shape and the less striking plots gain the same relevance as the main one.

By having the different timelines there is a danger that one of them predominates over the other, and although, the beginning has a certain imbalance, its rhythms end up falling into place🇧🇷 The same goes for character development. At the beginning of the series, the characters lack motivation and common sense, but, as the minutes pass, the empathy between viewer and character grows.

A story like The Peripheral with so many open fronts and so many plots to tell, it can be overwhelming. And it is that long conversations do not favor the rhythm or the interest of those who see it. These can be heavy and complex, making it even more difficult to follow the plot. Unlike the rest of the areas, an improvement is not achieved, which makes the ending rushed and accelerated.

The Peripheral is new, ambitious and mature television series. Despite failing in important aspects such as its dramatic complexity, it has some outstanding technical aspects.

It is very likely that we are facing a series that gains in positive aspects with the passage of time and with a second exhibition.
