Our body is a South Korean drama about self-discovery through the body. It's the directorial debut Han Ka-ram, providing delicate and sensual work, but also bitter and thoughtful. Cultivating the body to calm the mind can serve to define a protagonist of thirty years who faces the abyss of an uncertain future.
It's a film that doesn't always make things easy for you as a viewer. Sometimes, you feel that their speech is dispersed and you do not understand well the motivations of the characters in some of their actions. The director rejoices excessively in silence and suffers from a very slow pace in some parts of the story. However, it never completely loses our interest and attention.
Our body talks about how we build a path based on the expectations of others. How social pressure can become is a globalizing mechanism that destroys our identity independence. Han Ka-ram it brings a feminine and intimate point of view to portray a woman who decides to explore her desires, understanding that the only way to obtain personal satisfaction is to love yourself, without depending on others.
